If you’re somebody who feels isolated in recovery, and like no one around you really understands – this corner of The Anxious Academy is for you. We know how lonely this journey can feel, and that’s why we’ve built the spaces we wish we had:
Compass Groups – small, structured groups using evidence-based strategies, homework, and accountability – helping you make real progress with others who get it.
Workshops – live masterclasses on key recovery topics : breaking things down, sharing evidence-based tools, and ending with a Q&A.
At The Anxious Academy, we believe recovery is best navigated with support, understanding, and the right tools. That’s why we offer two unique group-based options to empower your journey: Compass Groups and Live Workshops. Whether you’re seeking the regular connection of a small, focused group or the dynamic learning of an interactive workshop, our programs are designed to help you face your fears, build resilience, and embrace a life free from avoidance. Both options provide evidence-based strategies in a compassionate, supportive environment – because recovery doesn’t have to be a solo journey.
Does your recovery feel like a lonely road you’re walking by yourself? Do you ever feel misunderstood by those around you, or unsure if you’re heading in the right direction? It’s common to feel isolated, stuck, or lost when you’re trying to make progress on your own. Compass Groups, led by expert facilitators Andrew and Ferne, offer a collaborative environment to share experiences, learn practical steps, and grow together.

“I personally feel like I connect more with therapists who has been through some form of anxiety or panic themselves, rather than someone who has never experienced it. Maybe it sounds bad, but I’m glad you went through what you did so you can help others.”
(J.M, 26)
“When talking with friends, I often refer to our weekly sessions as like going to the gym for my mind – continuing my emotional education.”
(L.K, 35)
“It really is clear that you do what you do to help people, rather than it being just a job! I can’t thank you enough for all of your help and patience with me so far!”
(R.T, 39)
“I never thought I could change how I felt about my anxiety, but what I’ve learned at The Anxious Academy has shifted everything. Now, I respond to my fears in a way that helps me move forward instead of staying stuck.”
(R.K, 30)
“Instead of spending my days doom-scrolling and searching for reassurance, I now focus on what truly matters. The Anxious Academy helped me shift my attention back to living my life.”
(W.R, 36)
“Recovering from Visual Snow Syndrome can feel overwhelming, but reducing checking and building tolerance to discomfort helped me regain control. Recovery is challenging but absolutely achievable through The Anxious Academy.”
(H.L, 19)
“The Anxious Academy helped me re-engage with my life instead of staying stuck in fear. Refocusing my attention on work, hobbies, and socializing has helped me feel free from obsessive thinking.”
